photo (s) of the day | a quiet moment in WI

one of my favorite things about getting to spend the first week of life with my good friends baby twin girls was that i got to witness all this quirky, quiet moment stuff. and i got to be in that little cocoon where you’re hidden, falling in love with babies and not aware of things like news or the weather outside or the last time you showered.

i took these photos on my last night with the girls. i was sort of in awe of the fact that they gazed at each other while they nursed. birth, and babies and nursing and the whole thing gets me all glassy eyed like a kid in a candy store. it kind of takes my breath away how beautiful it all is in the midst of this crazy “nice to meet you” period.
