photo (s) of the day | hunting for the shot

the best thing any photographer can do to improve their skill is to pick up their camera and shoot. you’d think with two kids around i’d be set with models. it’s so the opposite. they’re totally over it. yet, these are two of my favorite shots of Leo recently. it’s difficult these days to catch him smiling, even when attempting to catch him smiling at someone else! the first, i was literally hiding behind a pole on the train sticking the lens between Jack’s green hatted head and husband’s gray jacket shoulder. and the kid still found me.

and then tonight was “mommy’s going to practice using her flash inside” night and the kid covered his face with pretty much anything he could get his hands on. including the bottom drops from the left over cheerio milk. yep, the kid had cheerio’s for dinner.

i love this little nut…
